Mailantarki Care FC : Changing Football Narratives With Success Stories in Europe

Many young teenage footballers in Gombe State have strong desire to play for Mailantarki Care Football Club after the club conquered in two international tournaments in Denmark and Norway few weeks ago, reports www.totorinews.com.

Of course, there are other notable clubs in the state equally doing well in their own  style. Gombe United is a club in the NPFL, while Doma United is another top club in the state that just secured promotion to the elite league in Nigeria.

However, there is something revolutionary about Mailantarki Care FC that has made the modest football outfit the centre of attraction for young footballers wanting to make the beautiful game their career.

The scintillating football played by Mailantarki Care FC ensured that opposing teams they tackled at both 2022 Dana Cup in Denmark and 2022 Norway Club were thrashed to the dustbins of defeats, with the technical inputs of Manu Garba, the former chief coach of the National U 17 team of Nigeria, who is now the Technical Director of Mailantarki Care FC.

But the real success story is pointing at the direction of one man with the heart of kindness, a leader with core values of transparency and selflessness, father – figure to many people, a role model to emulate, a football enthusiast, a lover of the youths, hope to the downtrodden, a rare gem of a politician and his name is Hon. Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki.

Hon. Mailantarki, the gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) is dealing with the Nigerian youths in the language they understand, placing them on the platform that will showcase their football skills to the world through Mailantarki Care FC.

The former member of House of Representatives at the National Assembly in Abuja is the President of Mailantarki Care Football Academy and Mailantarki Care Football Club, who has resolved to use football to help many Nigerian youths who are sublimely gifted in the game, yet roaming the streets aimlessly.

Every Nigerian politician talks of empowering the youths. Hon. Mailantarki is already activating one of the plans he has for Gombe youths in particular and Nigerian youths in general through football, where some youthful footballers are already enjoying a new lease of life  through professional football in Europe.

“We ventured into football with the view to help our youths that are roaming the streets of Nigeria, especially the Northern Nigerian youths, specifically Gombe state,” Hon. Khamisu Mailantarki told www.totorinews.com in Abuja.

“We looked at the way to make them more productive in the society and we feel the best way to do it is to engage with sports especially football, since every home, indigene of my state is a lover of football.

“We decided to give the youths the best atmosphere they can require to bring out the best in their God-given talents. 

“We are happy to celebrate that from the grassroot we started, we are able to be counting our success recorded within one year of existence.

“We have moved more than 15 players to European clubs within one year of existence,” he said.
