As long that the new head coach of the Super Eagles will be a Nigerian, he will have my full support, says Donald Malomo-Paris, reports www.totorinews.com.
Malomo-Paris, UK based UEFA trained coach, who also applied to coach the Super Eagles affirmed that it is time for a Nigerian to be saddled with the responsibility of tinkering the affairs of the Super Eagles.
“Honestly, I really feel that it is time for a Nigerian coach to lead the Super Eagles. We have the abundance of football talents and the country is not lacking in the area of sound and qualified coaches,” Malomo-Paris told www.totorinews.com.
“I will be satisfied, if a Nigerian is employed as the head coach of the Super Eagles. I equally applied for the job, but if I am not given the opportunity and other Nigerian coach gets the job, fine and good with me.
“He will have my 100% support and I think Nigerians will also support him. It is all about Nigeria football moving forward and i think the time is ripe for a Nigerian coach to be given the job,” he said.
Super Eagles will resume the qualifying games for the 2026 World Cup in June against South Africa and Benin Republic. It is expected that a new coach will be at the technical line dishing instructions to the players.
