Concentrate on grassroots football, Ali urges Gusau

A former Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations, Abdulmajid Ali, has urged the new Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, President, Ibrahim Gusau, to concentrate on the development of grassroots football.

The retired police officer, who is a passionate fan of Niger Tornadoes said this in an interview with Wakawaka Sports Extra.

He tasked the new NFF supremo to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor by ensuring he utilise his wealth of experience in the football community.

“He has a great job ahead. He needs to concentrate on the grassroots. We need to start getting these boys from grassroot before getting to the peak. I wish him well. 

“Amaju Pinnick has done well and he needs to build on it. Gusau has been in football circle for a while, I know he will do well.”
