There are strong indications that better days await Nigeria football under the new leadership of Ibrahim Musa Gusau, says Oluranti Jasper Netufo, reports www.totorinews.com.
Netufo, the chairman of Whitecloud Sports Management, partners to Analysispro UK, said that Gusau has began on a very sound track with some laudable decisions taken by the Federation.
He added that, the Flamingos winning bronze medal at the FIFA U 17 Women’s World Cup in India are clear signs that Nigeria football will get better. He therefore urged football loving Nigerians to give massive support to the new NFF board.
“We have good signs that Nigeria football will surely get better under this new board. It was a smooth transition from Amaju Pinnick to Alh. Ibrahim Musa Gusau. I am particularly impressed with some of the decisions Gusau and his board have taken,” Netufo told www.totorinews.com.
“NFF just set up a task force for the age grade national teams of Nigeria which is very laudable and appointing Hon. Aminu Kurfi Balele to head the task force committee is a master stroke strategy from Gusau.
“There is no doubt that the trio of Balele, Bukola Olopade and Abba Muktar Adam are equal to the task.
“I will appeal to every football stakeholder to rally round support for Gusau. This is not the time to sit on the fence and watch. We all can help football develop more in Nigeria with our own positive contributions,” he said.
