The last-minute equaliser scored by Israel Ayuma of Marítimo against Gil Vicente last Saturday has earned him a place in the Team of the Week in Portugal powered by Sofascore, reports www.totorinews.com.
It was a beauty of a goal, brilliantly executed to silence the home fans at Gil Vicente. Ayuma’s effort earned him the MVP of the game, and it has continued to generate positive reviews in Europe. He has been rated alongside players from more illustrious clubs such as Porto, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon.
Ayuma joined Marítimo from NK Istra of Croatia last month. He has featured five times for Marítimo this season and is gradually winning the hearts of the club’s technical crew and management with his outstanding style of play.
