Another diaspora reject alert!

    Dominic Solanke

    By Ikenwa Nnabuogor

Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke has been reportedly quoted to have said he would consider a Nigeria switch since things are not looking his way for England’s Three Lions.

Funny to know Super Eagles are considered as last option for Nigeria-rooted players born abroad when they are seen as not good enough for their countries of birth as fatherland appears in their eyes as their last resort.

Must we make our dear fatherland look like this in their eyes?

The answer is CAPITAL NO because quality should also be the name on this side.

NFF should seriously look into this and turn their sights away from the erstwhile want away diasporans turning round to embrace Nigeria as their last option.

Should a massive brand like Super Eagles be a last option?

Quality is the name of the game everywhere and these rejects should remain where they are especially if they’re not better than our home grown talents.

Solanke should keep his scoring boots at Vitality Stadium and wait for England boss Gareth Southgate for a change of mind that might take a spiritual turn.
