MFM FC forward, Chijioke Akuneto has expressed gratitude to God after grabbing the match winning goal for his side against Wikki Tourist at the Soccer Temple Stadium in Agege on Sunday, www.totorinews.com reports.
Akuneto who came on as a substitute in the second half to score the only goal of the encounter, said he had a dream prior to the game that he was going to register his name on the scorers sheet.
“I had it in mind that I would score. I was 100 percent sure of scoring because God had already revealed it to me through a dream that I was going to score.” Akuneto said.
The player who has been on the payroll of the Olukoya Boys since they made their debut in the 2015/2016 NPFL season, added that although he works hard in training, scoring would not have been possible if not for God.
He stated “I feel so great scoring in the match and I return all the glory back to God because he is the one that made it happen for me.”
The player will be hoping to score again when MFM FC play Remo Stars in an away fixture on Wednesday.
