Tinubu Is Committed To End Banditry In Northwest – Matawalle

Alhaji Bello Matawalle, Minister of State Defence, says the federal government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is taking all necessary steps to put an end to banditry in the northwest region.

The Minister was speaking during a condolence visit following the murder of the chief Imam of Maru town.

The minister stated that the President has provided the military with all necessary equipment, and the region will soon see peace restored.

He urged citizens to provide accurate intelligence to the security agencies in order to win the war against banditry and other criminal activities.

He emphasised that all citizens, regardless of political or religious beliefs, must support security efforts.

The Secretary of the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, represented the Minister during the visit and announced a donation of five million naira and food for the families.

Matawalle emphasised the importance of working together with state governments in the northwest region and the federal government to bring an end to the bandits’ terrible inhumane activities.

Receiving the delegation, Alh Abubakar Gado Maigari, a member of the deceased Imam’s family and Emir of Maru, thanked the minister for always being concerned about the state’s people and prayed to Allah to continue to reward, guide, protect, and support him in all his dealings.
