Nasarawa Amazons Football Club of Lafia will return to action on Monday, October 5, 2026, when they face Remo Stars Ladies in their second match of the ongoing Governor Douye Diri Women’s Pre-Season Football Tournament in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
The Lafia Landladies suffered defeat to Ahudiayanem Queens in their opening fixture but will be aiming to bounce back strongly and keep their title-defence hopes alive.
As defending champions of the competition, Nasarawa Amazons will be determined to put the setback behind them and secure a positive result in the Matchday Two encounter.
The team took part in a light training session on Sunday afternoon as preparations intensified for Monday’s game.
The coaching staff and players remain focused and optimistic ahead of the crunch clash against a highly rated Remo Stars Ladies side.
Remo Stars Ladies will also be seeking a positive result as they continue their campaign, having earned one point from their opening two matches.
Both teams are eager to return to winning ways, with Monday’s fixture expected to provide another competitive test for the Lafia Landladies, who are keen to secure their first three points of the tournament.
