The Chairman of Green Atlas FC of Kaduna, Dr Tayo Moses Adebisi has shown exemplary sportmanship, as he praised the referee and his assistants that officiated his team’s FA cup match against City FC, despite his team being on the losing side 4- 3 on penalties, after a 1 – 1 draw in regulation time.
According to the amiable administrator, football is a game that a winner or loser must emerge when it comes to knockout rules and he was impressed with the good officiating exhibited by the match officials in the explosive tie with City FC.
“Football is a beautiful game. It is either you win or lose in a knockout game, but what is equally important is fair officiating and that was what will witnessed in the game,” Dr. Adebisi told www.totorinews.com. after the game.
“If all the FA Cup matches and League matches are being handled the way this match was handled, there won’t be complains about officiating in the Nigeria league and we will see our referees having international reckoning in both CAF and FIFA tournaments.
Centre Referee Aliyu Abdullahi, Assistant Referee 1 Abdulrashid Shittu, and Assistant Referee 2 were all very efficient with their decisions throughout the game.
