After watching two friendly games played by the Flying Eagles against Water FC, which the team won 1-0 and against Mailantarki Care FC, which the team shockingly lost 1-0, former Super Eagles defender, Chibuzor Okonkwo says the team is a work in progress.
In an exclusive interview with www.totorinews.com in Abuja, Chibuzor, who played for the Flying Eagles at the 2005 FIFA U-20 FIFA World Cup in Netherlands is very optimistic that Aliyu Zubairu tutored side will be formidable at the WAFU B U-20 tournament in Togo next month.
“For the two games that I watched, i was impressed. The coaches are still building the team. I saw so many talents and I know that this team will do well and they will fly well,” Okonkwo told www.totorinews.com
“For me, If i am the coach I can take and make twenty players that i have seen and build a very strong team from the little I have seen.
“It is just to tell them what to do and have confidence in them,” he added.
