Super Falcons were very impressive in their goalless affair with Canada, but must have improve the midfield department against Australia, says Uche Okorie.

Okorie, who is the President of Nigeria Association in Australia Capital Territory affirmed that the Super Falcons made Nigerians in the country proud with their performance against the reigning Olympics women’s football champion.

“As a Nigerian I can tell you boldly say the Super Falcons were top class against Olympics. However, it is important for the team to a very strong midfield when they play against Australia,”Uche Okorie.

He continued: “The team should be more adventurous in the attack and also be disciplined at the defence.

“Goals cannot be scored without creating chances and converting them. That is football. The attackers should be more adventurous and take shots from far range.

“I observed that the Canadian goalkeeper should have been tested very well in this game.

“Painfully, the sad part of the game was seeing Deborah Abiodun get the marching order from the game in stoppage time.

“Nigeria will definitely miss her in the next game and to be honest with you, I think it is possible for Falcons to get a good result,” he said.
