Exposed : Kida’s Score Card

At a time when basketball fratenity in Nigeria has been involved in crisis in the battle of who controls the slam and dunk game in the country, one man continues with his giant strides of achievements as a leader.

The midas touch of Egnr. Ahmadu Musa Kida as the President of Nigeria Basketball Federation ( NBBF) in the last four years  has witnessed tremendous transformation of the game in Nigeria.

Despite all the turbulence that heralded his emergence as the President of NBBF, Kida continues to flourish with undeniable results of excellence as seen with the great feat of D’ Tigress at the just concluded Afrobasket championship in Cameroon where Nigeria emerged champions for the third time in a row since 2017, same year Kida was elected as President of NBBF.

Another great feat achieved by Kida was to see both the D’ Tigers and D’ Tigress compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Both the male and female basketball senior national teams of Nigeria did not live up to the expectations of Nigerians, but it is still worthy to note that the experience gathered will be an added advantage going forward.

While D’ Tigers faltered at Afrobasket championship in Rwanda losing to lowly rated Uganda to crash out of the tournament, D’ Tigress flourished to amazingly finished as the ultimate champions of women’s Afrobasket championship in Cameroon.

That’s sport for you. You win some and lose some. Life goes on as you go back to preparation for the next major championship.

There is no doubt that Kida has shown strong will to reposition the game of basketball to greatness since his emergence as the numero uno in the affairs of basketball in Nigeria.
