Great leader Kurfi, visits another injured Super Eagles player, Collins

An exemplary leader within the football family in Nigeria, Aminu Kurfi has continued to demonstrate strong leadership qualities in the affairs of football in Nigeria, reports www.totorinews.com.

Just few days ago, he was in Real Sociedad, Spain to cheer and encourage  injured Super Eagles striker, Sadiq Umar, where he used the opportunity to inform the striker that the whole football stakeholders are fully praying for his quick recovery.

Again on Friday, the amiable football administrator was in Cardiff to visit another injured Super Eagles player, Jamilu Collins, who is recuperating from kneel injury.

Collins was very happy to see Kurfi, who is also a member of NFF technical committee and it is quite encouraging to note that as focus was in Oran where  the Super Eagles played an international friendly with Algeria on Friday, a rare gem of a leader was also able to direct football loving Nigerians to the attention of Collins in Cardiff through the visit.

“The players must come first. We cannot administer football without the players. I have chosen this period to remember our heroes and I am using my money to tour Europe just to see these injured players and remind them that Nigerians still love them,” Kurfi said.

“I want to assure you that Nigerians are praying for you, for your quick recovering and by God’s grace you will bounce back better playing for your club and country again,” he said.

Collins used the occasion to thank the Katsina FA chairman for his show of love and every football loving Nigerian for their prayers and support.

“We thank God that I am recovering everyday. I also thank you for this visit. Your visit has lifted my spirit higher. I want to also appreciate every Nigerian for their prayers,” Jamilu Collins.

“It is good to know that you are not only  remembered when you are wearing the green and white colours of Nigeria, but also when you are down and injured,” he added.

Napoli, Italy may be the next destination of Kurfi everything working out fine, where another Super Eagles player, Victor Osimhen is also nursing a minor injury and he is recovering.

These visits by Kastina FA chairman will definatly create good impressions in the minds of these Super Eagles players of how much they are really valued and appreciated for their labour of love while  wearing the national colours of Nigeria.
