Luka Istifanus, Director of Sports in the FCT says Team FCT have the potentials to finish in top 5 in the next edition of the national sports festival, reports www.totorinews.com.
He disclosed in an exclusive interview with www.totorinews.com after FCT won 15 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 33 bronze medals to finish 9th position at the end of Delta 22 national sports festival, which ended on Saturday evening.
“Our target was to win at least 12 gold medals and we ended up with 15. Team FCT have surpassed the record set at the last edition held in Edo where we won only five gold medals,” Istifanus said.
“If our plans work out fine, Team FCT have the potentials to finish in top 5 at the next national sports festival to be hosted by Ogun State.
“We will concentrate on sports that we have strong advantage, motivate our athletes and we strongly hope that FCT will win more gold medals in Ogun State.
“The preparations for the next national sports festival will begin very soon,” he said.
