Every football game, be it a friendly or competitive one is an opportunity for development of young footballers in Mavlon FC, says Muyiwa Showole, coach of the team.
He disclosed this to www.totorinews.com after Mavlon FC defeated Zamfara United 2-0 in a friendly game played on Sunday at the Legacy pitch, Surulere stadium.
According to the young gaffer, Zamfara United gave a good account of themselves in the game, it was just that Mavlon Fc were more superior on the field, but the most important aspect, is to see every game as an opportunity for development of the young players.
“We are happy that Mavlon FC won the game 2-0 against Zamfara United. It was a very good game. In Mavlon Fc, what we are after in every game is to see how the young footballers are developing,” Showole said.
“We want to see how they react and their quick transition from the defence to attack, also the individual development of each player who featured.
“Winning gives you a good feeling and we are glad we did against Zamfara United.
“However, the real winning is for us in Mavlon is to see our young footballers develop into great footballers raising the Nigerian flag high,” he said.
