Nigerian Super Eagles left-back Ebube Duru made a dream start to his Danish career, helping Sønderjysk Fodbold secure a historic 7-0 win over Solrød FC in the Danish Cup on September 4, 2024. Just two days after signing a contract until 2027, Duru was named in the starting lineup and played a key role in the team’s convincing victory.
This win marks the club’s largest cup victory in their history and propels Sønderjysk Fodbold into the third round of the Oddset Cup. The 2024-25 Danish Cup winner will earn a spot in the first round of the 2025-26 UEFA Europa League.
Duru and his team will look to build on this momentum as they face Brøndby in the third-round Super League game on September 15, 2024. Congratulations to Ebube Duru on a successful debut!
