Amaraizu, NLO South East director expresses shock over death of Okenwa

The Director, South East of the Nationwide league one (NLO) the third tier league of the Nigeria football ,Csp Ebere Amaraizu has expressed shock over the death of a football icon, Chief Ofo chidi Okenwa .

Until his demise,he was the chairman of the Nigerian National league the second tier league of the Nigeria football and also the chairman Enugu state football Association as well as executive committee member of the Nigeria football federation and has served in various capacity in the Nigeria football.

I therefore on behalf of the Chairman of the Nigerian Nationwide league One board Alhaji Mohammed Alkali and the entire NLO league board members and secretariat as well as all Nationwide league one club sides within the south East condole with the Family of the late football icon and guru as well as the entire members of the Enugu state football Association and entire soccer family on his death and pray for the repose of his soul.

To me ,I received the information with shock but we can’t question God Almighty. He is always there to breach the football matters gap when the need arises and away from that he made sure that the Nigeria National league embraced the POCACOV initiatives of the inspector General of police IGP Mohammed  ADAMU Abubakar through which youth are sensitized  through football on the need to shun cultism and its associated violence and to remain focus in their football career. Csp Amaraizu who also is the POCACOV National Coordinator informed.

Hon Ofo chidi Okenwa died on Tuesday following a protracted ailment. He was 50 years old
