We’ll Show Abuja Criminals ‘Pepper’ – Wike Vows

By Bala Yunusa

There will be no hiding place for criminal elements in Abuja, says Ezenwo Nyeson Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory.

Wike has vowed to flush criminal elements out of Abuja, as he added the high cost of living will reduce when bandits are rendered ineffective and farmers are giving conducive atmosphere to farm without fear of being attacked.

Wike disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja, as he flagged off the 9.8km Kabusa – Takushara road.

The minister also frowned at school administrators after lining students in the sun to receive him, warning that FCT school children must never be subjected to such energy-sapping ventures.

“On insecurity, without roads, if someone comes to attack you, can security agencies come down immediately? No. So, we have started. Every problem cannot be solved at the same time. What is important is that there is hope.

“The hunger is because of insecurity. You cannot go to farm because kidnappers and bandits will not allow you. Now, we are fighting them. We are going to show them pepper.

“So, don’t worry. I know what you have suffered, I know how impatient you are. Now we have started. Just know that hope has come back”, he said.
