Benue lost to NSCDC, Nigeria Customs and Nigeria Army by 3-0 in their first, second and third matches respectively.

The head coach of Benue Queens, Anthony Torbunde attributed the shaky start of his team to loss of concentration from the players, but insists his team played very well.

“It has not been easy for Benue Queens. If you watched the matches we lost, they were against teams who have players in the senior national team. Most of them have also participated at either African championships or Africa club championships”.
