Team Nigeria break 30 – year old African record.

The Nigerian quartet of Rosemary Chukwuma, Favour Ofili, Grace Nwokocha and Joy Udo-Gabriel, broke a 30-year-old African record

Team Nigeria gave the world of Athletics something to cheers despite finishing outside the podium in the final of 4 x 100 relay at the on- going world Athletics championship in Oregon, United States, reports www.totorinews.com

The Nigerian quartet of Rosemary Chukwuma, Favour Ofili, Grace Nwokocha and Joy Udo-Gabriel, broke a 30-year-old African record and set a new one of 42:22s to finish 4th behind USA, Jamaica and Germany in the final.

The previous African record of 42:39s was set in 1992.
