A key component of Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau’s agenda on the night of his declaration to become the next President of the Nigeria Football Federation is the unification of the Nigerian football fraternity, which is paramount for the successes of any administrative work to thrive.
Confirming Gusau’s excellent work relationship thus far since his assumption of office, is the Deputy Governor of Edo state, His Excellency, Governor Philip Shaibu, when he paid a courtesy visit to the office of the President at the headquarters of the Nigeria football federation on Tuesday in Abuja, paimedia.com.ng reports
Mr Philip Shaibu while speaking to newsmen in Abuja said Gusau’s emergence as the NFF President within the shortest time has fostered tranquility, as he keeps making efforts in ensuring his subjects are carried along on a tide of enthusiasm, with the hope of uniting the football family, for the good of the country.
Philip also revealed that the interest of President Gusau is for Nigeria to reclaim her position as the giant of Africa, and to achieve this, all hands must be on deck to work for the purpose of attaining new lofty heights and glory.
“We have a president that is carrying everyone along to make sure that the football family is united for the good of the country because what we want is for Nigeria to remain a giant”
“Nigeria must be number one in all ramifications including winning trophies and that is the interest of the president”
He also called on all stakeholders to support the collective vision of Gusau to make sure that Nigeria remains a household name as far as football is concerned.
“One thing about us is that we blame leaders, but we the followers we have a role to play as well, we the followers of the President we need to take up our role as followers”
“We must support his vision, his collective vision to make sure that Nigeria remains a household name as far as football is concerned, knowing fully well that Nigeria is the leader as far as African nation is concerned”
