Any attempt or schemes to remove the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF), Dr. Mohammed Sanusi is an exercise in futility, says former Super Eagles striker, Benedict Akwuegbu.
In an exclusive chat with www.totorinews.com in Abuja, Akwuegbu said that the scribe of the Federation, an amiable administrator is under contract with the NFF, which cannot be terminated unjustly.
“When an administrator, technocrat or a professional is given a contract for a specific number of years, the contract cannot just be terminated without congent reasons.”Benedict Akwuegbu told www.totorinews.com.
“Contracts under football administration or in the football industry are not just terminated. That is the reason I think strongly that any man or group scheming to sack the General Secretary of the NFF, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi an exercise in futility.
“That is the fact. If it happens, the NFF will pay him for the remaining months or years of the contract. It is only the NFF board and and congress that have a say in this matter.
“And you can be rest assured that the old NFF board did not complain about the GS. Amaju Pinnick even praised him while giving his last speech as NFF president at the elective congress last Friday in Benin City.
“The General Secretary has done well for Nigeria football. He has an existing contract with the NFF,” he said
