Rivers United Midfielder Slams NPFL Over Poor Officiating

Rivers United midfielder, Victor Arikpo has slammed Nigeria Premier Football  League (NPFL) over poor officiating of match officials in a rescheduled match day 11 encounter against Rangers International on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium in Enugu.

Arikpo revealed this in an exclusive interview with www.totorinews.com, as he expressed dissatisfaction with the match officials.

“It was a great game that was poorly officiated. Both teams played very well and organized, but the official’s decisions along the line were poor,” Arikpo lamented.

The defensive midfielder also shared his thoughts when asked what is expected from him and the pride of Rivers this season.

“I’m just hoping to get more playing time and help the team maintain their spot on the continental scene. The players need to stay positive so that we can Rivers United can be at a better position at the end of the season,” he said.
