The 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season earlier scheduled to kick off this weekend has now been rescheduled.
In a statement signed by the Chief Operating Officer of the NPFL, Davidson Owumi, the postponement is as a result of exigencies connected to the Sponsorship of the League.
The statement further explained that a new kick off date will be communicated to the general public.
Meanwhile, the match week one fixtures remain unchanged and will go ahead as planned when the new kick off date is confirmed.
This is the third time the kick-off date has been rescheduled since the earlier date of 26 August was declared.
