Novak Djokovic could slide down more in ATP ranking points by the end of the year judging by the poor form on tennis court he has displayed in slam tournaments and others in 2024, reports www.totorinews.com.

The Serbian, winner of 24 Grand Slams is currently ranked No 9 in ATP and he may not participate at the lucrative ATP top eight tennis tournament in Turin in November, if he fails to move up in the rankings.

From all indications, it seems that Djokovic is unfazed by top 8 tennis ATP finest tournament, as he revealed that the Turin tournament is not his main focus when he played for Serbia in the Davis Cup.

Although, he confirmed plans to play at the Shanghai Masters next month in China, but he is not keen about the ranking points, stressing that he is not chasing ATP Finals.

“Torino is not my goal at all, to be honest, I am not chasing ATP Finals, I am not chasing the rankings,” he told reporters in Serbia last weekend.

“As far as I am concerned, I am done with those tournaments for my career. Whether I will play in other tournaments this year or in the future, I can’t say right now.

“My main priorities are playing for Serbia and Slams, everything else is less important.”

Djokovic is set to play exhibition events in Saudi Arabia and Argentina over the next few weeks and he has also confirmed he will play the ATP 1000 event in Shanghai.

“After that [Shanghai], I am going to see what I am going to do,” Djokovic added.

Aside from winning the gold medal in men’s tennis event at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Djokovic has failed to win a Grand Slam title this year.
