Ahead of the 2022 Nigeria League One, NLO, Super 8 Championship, Team Manager of Imo based side, Kun Khalifat FC, Raymond Ebede, declared that his side are ready to roar in the nation’s commercial city of Lagos.
Kun Khalifat will battle seven other teams drawn across the country to determine who emerges overall winners of the league from 3rd to 8th October 2022 at Legacy Pitch, National Stadium Surulere Lagos, having secured the promotion ticket to the Nigeria National League.
In this exclusive interview with Wakawaka Sports Extra, Ebede said they have anticipated the championship noting that his team are in top gear and ready to conquer.
Ebede promised football lovers in the state and beyond to fly the flag high at the championship, saying that he has got an experienced and passionate coach who can deliver.
While applauding the role of the proprietor towards the success of the team, he expressed delight that his lads to come out stronger and better after the showdown in Lagos.
“We are well prepared because even before the date came up we started preparations. We have already assembled some good legs within and outside the state and we are prepared to go.
“I have a team, I don’t know about other teams. One thing I want to assure Imolites, football lovers of the state, by His grace we will not disappoint. We will march the competition as it comes. I believe in my coach who is working hard. Coming back from Lagos will not be a disappointment. We will flag our flag high.
“He is so passionate about football coaching. He studies a lot and knows what to havea balanced team. He works in and outside the pitch, giving them advises and pep talk on what they should be doing. He works on them in and outside.
“The proprietor of the team is a young man with passion and energy. Once it is out on what to do, he goes ahead to do it. He doesn’t want to wait or listen to gossip to deter him, he will just do it.”
