NANPF have been making some giant strides since the new executives came on board last month, made this promise when Babaginda  led a delegation to the late player’s home in Edo state on Friday, where  the delegation met with the late player’s father and also the late player’s only child, a son.

It was further gathered by Austin Popo, the Players’ Union General Secretary, that the late Gombe United player  is owed about four hundred thousand Naira by the NFF, while also revealing  that an approval was given for the release of $4000 owed Douglas by the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, sadly the money is yet to be paid to the family after months of granting approval for all the financial entitlements of the player should be paid.

To make matter worse for the family of late Douglas, the only son he left behind is suffering from an ailment and he will have to undergo a surgery, but there is no money to effect the medical bills and that is the main reason that NANPF had to visit the family to assure them that the family will not be abandoned.

NANPF put smiles on the late Douglas’ family with a goodwill donation to the start the treatment of the child, while also assuring that NANPF will do everything humanly possible to ensure that the late player’s entitlements are paid soonest.
