My next target is the world cup, says Jude Sunday

Jude Sunday celebrates one of his goals against Tunisia

After scoring a brace in the 4-0 demolision of Tunisia to win the bronze medal for Nigeria at the AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt, Jude Sunday has said his next target is to work hard and prepare very well for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia two months time.

The wing wizard was in terrific form as Ladan Bosso handed him his first start of the tournament and he did not disappoint with his performance.

“My next target is to go back to my club, continue to work hard and prepare very well for the world cup,” Jude Sunday told the media after the game on Friday evening.

Sunday, who won man of the match award said he was pleasantly surprised with the award as he was not expecting it.

“I was shocked when they gave me the man of the match award. I thank God for everything. I thank my teammates and my coaches,” he said.
