Super Eagles Captain, Mikel John Obi has revealed three factors that can help the Super Eagles to win the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, totorinews.com reports.
According to the former Chelsea of England player, the rich deposits of young football talents, experience players and experience coach are factors that would be of great importance in their quest to win the AFCON and the Super Eagles are not lacking any of these factors.
“We have very players in the team. A blend of youth and experience is a good one. Players like Chukwueze and Kalu showed brilliance.”Mikel said.
“I believe they can do great things at the Nations Cup, we just have to keep talking to them we the senior players and the coaches and hopefully we would have a good blend in the competition,” he added.
“We have some experience players in the team and this will also help at the Nations Cup as we take each game carefully.
“I know football is not easy, but we have experience coach, a good coach that guided the team to qualify for the World Cup and now AFCON. We want to win the AFCON and we will approach every game with that objective,” he said.
The midfield jewel ended his one year sabbatical to earn his 87th caps for Nigeria in the international friendly game between the Super Eagles and Brave Warriors of Zimbabwe that ended goalless at the Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba on Saturday.
