Former Special Adviser to the President on Disabilities, Alhaji Musibau Lawan Didi has charged the leadership to make Para Soccer a compulsory sporting event in National Sports Festival, reports www.totorinews.com.
Didi, the Nigeria sport stakeholder, who invented para-soccer disclosed this in Abuja during the exhibition game to unveil Tinubu/ Shettima Para Soccer Unity tournament, where he noted that the sport is now being played by so many countries in the world.
“Para-Soccer is a Nigerian sport, invented by a Nigerian, my humble self and in line with the policy of inclusion of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the sport must be included in the National Sports Festival,” Didi said.
“Para-Soccer should not be an exhibition sport in the national games. It should be a compulsory sport so that our sport men and women in para-soccer will not be left behind when their fellow country men and women are competing for honours in Ogun State.
Tinubu Shettima Para- Soccer is scheduled to begin on 12th June, 2025 at the old parade ground, Area 10, Abuja.
