European scouts that graced the just concluded ‘Gombe to Europe’ football scouting tournament all affirmed that indeed the state is the jewel of the savannah when it comes to untapped football talents.
In an exclusive chat with www.totorinews.com, Hon. Khamisu Mailantarki, who is the brain box behind the football scouting tournament in Gombe state said that talented footballers in the state showcased their football prowess to the delight of all the European scouts present.
“I’m so glad that the Gombe to Europe football scouting tournament was hugely successful and what these football scouts from England said about raw football talents in Gombe state really amazed me,” Hon. Mailantarki told www.totorinews.com.
“It is thrilling to hear that Gombe state is blessed with skillful and talented players.
“One scout particularly told me that the football talents is very overwhelming and they have not seen anything like that in Africa since their foray into football talents hunt in Africa.
Speaking further, Hon. Mailantarki, who is also the proprietor of Mailantarki Care Football Academy said that the players discovered will be properly guided and nurtured, so that their football career without hitches.
“We will ensure that these players discovered in ‘Gombe to Europe’ will not be allowed to derail on their paths to greatness as professional footballers.
“We deeply appreciate His Excellency, Mallam Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Governor of Gombe state for his wonderful to the development of football in the state,” he said.
