Mavlon Fc was too marvellous for Dino SC, as they defeated their counterpart 2-1 on the match day one of the Lagos Supremacy Cup, reports
Mavlon parading exciting young football talents like Simon Cletus, Imrana Mohammed and Charles Agada were very dominant at every department of the game to thrilling of the fans at the MMJ stadium in Lagos.
The team made a strong impression of winning the game in the second minute when Agada hit the back of the net after a beautiful assist from Emmanuel Ekele.
It was glaring that Mavlon were in cruise control of the game, as Dino SC tried to curtail their rampaging opponents.
Mavlon FC, despite having more of ball possession could not increase the tally as their lead only lasted for 13 minutes. Dino SC clawed back to reckoning with a goal from Hassan Agbede.
It was a goal delivered with a sublime technique.
There was no doubt that the two sides were equally matched going into the break.
On resumption, Mavlon Fc showed more hun ger and determination. It was therefore not a surprise when Imrana Mohammed restored their lead in the 47th minute.
Efforts made by Dino SC to equalise proved abortive as Abubakar Rufai in goal for Mavlon Fc, together with his defenders were equal to the task of ensuring a winning start to the Lagos Supremacy Cup tournament.
Hostilities continue on Tuesday with Mavlon Fc tackling Broad City FC in one of the fixtures of Match Day 2 of the tournament.
