Kanu wants to avenge death of 28 IPOB members and Jack, his dog

Nnamdi Kanu, the Supreme leader of Indegenous People of Biafria (IPOB), has said that he will avenge the death of 28 IPOB members and Jack, his dog, that were allegedly killed during the military invasion of his father’s compound in September, last year reports, www.totorinews.com.

Kanu in a live speech on Radio Biafra as broadcast via the Facebook said that  the intelligence power  of the MOSSAD, the National Intelligence Agency of Israel will be effected in the intelligence unit of IPOB, to strengthen the organisation in the quest to actualise the dream of a Biafra land and avenge the death of his members.

Kanu, who holds a dual citizenship of Nigeria and Britain insisted  that Biafra must be achieved, noting that his people will stand to vote on a referendum for the Biafran State.

Kanu said he was speaking from the holy land of Israel. His speech was in English language and interjected by the Igbo language towards the end as he prayed, assured his listeners that he is not a coward who fled and abandoned his people without planning to return to Biafra land to continue with the agitation of a sovereign state of Biafra.

“I have missed you for 13 months. I pray for all of you seven times every day. No mortal can kill me; I will come back to Biafra land,” he said.

“I’m not afraid of them and can never be. They are the ones afraid of me and IPOB. I am a Biafran, and I hold British citizenship,” he continued.

“I was in my home preparing to go to Abuja for my case when they came to kill me. They even killed Jack, our dog. They killed my cousin, Adaku and 28 others. The notion that I jumped bail is a fallacy, a lie and a deceit. It is untenable in law.

“I am Nnamdi Kanu, no mortal flesh can kill me. They have not given birth to that very person. Since they didn’t want me to come to court, I shall come back to Biafra land. There is nobody who can accuse IPOB of engaging in any form of lawlessness. I am in Israel.” Kanu said.

Kanu, a former London estate agent is facing treason charges in Nigeria and had been on bail at the time troops were deployed to his home city of Umuahia in Abia state, South East Nigeria, in September 2017. He then failed to show at his trial in the capital, Abuja, sparking speculation as to his whereabouts.

Surprisingly, Kanu resurfaced on Friday in a video live-streamed on the Facebook accounts of known associates of Kanu appeared to show him praying at the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

He was dressed in sandals, white trousers, a white Jewish prayer shawl and skull cap in a typical Jewish religious mode of dressing.

Kanu is of the firm opinion that the Igbo people have their root linked to one of the lost tribe of Israel and he has a divine mandate to lead the people to actualise the dream of having Biafran state  possibly through a referendum. Unfortunately, there is no place for a referendum in the present constitution of Nigeria.
