Something very shocking happened to some road side fruits sellers at Ekpan Ikpan junction in Nsit Ibom LGA of Akwa Ibom when Emmanuel Udom, Governor of Akwa Ibom state cited them on his way back from an official function.
It was an experience they never expected to happen to them when Governor Udom asked his convoy to stop and he alighted from the vehicle. He walked smiling, followed by his security aides to where the fruits sellers were and the next thing he did, was to patronise these women selling fruits by the road side.

It was a very pleasant experience for these fruits sellers as they beamed with smiles to sell to the amiable governor of the state.
According to Aniekeme Finbar, a media aide in the office of the Governor of Akwa Ibom state, who used his facebook page to narrate the experience of the road side fruit sellers with His Excellency, Governor Udom.

This experience has shown that Nigerian leaders can bond with their people in order to encourage them and it should not be only during election campaign when they seek to win the votes of the masses.
