After embarking on 50 days spiritual exercise of praying and fasting, members of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Testimony Chapel, Lagos Province 40 are set to give thanks to God through high praise service this Saturday.
Testimony Chapel, Lagos Province 40 will be celebrating the successful completion of the national 50 days praying and fasting exercise as they trust God to fill their lives more with testimonies in the year 2020 that has been declared as the year of series of joy and victory by Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the RCCG worldwide.
The service will commence at 5.30 pm on Saturday and it is a special time of offering songs of praise in appreciation to God for the enablement to complete the spiritual exercise.
Speaking to totorinews ahead of the high praise service, Pastor Frank Oyorhigho, the parish coordinator of Testimony chapel said that the people are looking forward to high praise service with great enthusiasm, as he informed that the teachings, admonitions and other spiritual guidance from Pastor Rotimi Adegborioye really helped and fortified the members in undergoing the 50 days praying and fasting exercise.
“It has been an awesome experience and God really proved Himself strong on the behalf of the members of Testimony chapel,” Pastor Oyorhigho said.
“The Senior Pastor of the parish, Pastor Rotimi Adegborioye who doubles as the Assistant Pastor in charge of Lagos Province 40 and as the Director of Admin and personnel of the mission provided strong spiritual leadership to the members and we are grateful to God as we complete the exercise this Saturday.
“It is not an easy feat to begin an exercise of this nature and complete it successfully and faithfully.
“We are grateful to God for the grace of obedience to finish the 50 days praying and fasting spiritual exercise. It is not easy to subject the flesh to spiritual exercise of this nature.
“As a result of the victory over temptation to renege along the way, it is expedient to show appreciation to the heavenly father who never leaves His children alone in such spiritual journey.
“Offering sacrifice of songs of praise to God has a lot of blessings to the children of the most high God. When we praise the Almighty God, he inhabits the praises of His children and releases blessings to flow to his people.
“The high point of the praise service will be the anointing of parishioners to ensure the spiritual power received in the course of the exercise does not wane in the course of the year,” he concluded.
