He can’t go back to Nigeria, Udinese tells Mavlon regarding teenage defender

Muntari Momoh... tenacious teenage defender

After featuring for Mavlon FC in all the six games the team played at the 2024 Viareggio Cup tournament in Italy, European football is beckoning for Muntari Momoh, the teenage defender of Mavlon, reports www.totorinews.com.

Momoh, at 16 years old can be described as a solid defender, with good aerial prowess, pace and smooth tackling ability in thwarting attackers from vital areas of the goal.

It is therefore not a surprise that some European clubs were monitoring his progress, but Udinese has taken a bold step by contacting the management of Mavlon FC not to allow the teen defender to go back to Nigeria at the moment.

The Italian club officials are of the firm opinion that Momoh has great potential to be developed into a world class defender, so they made a move for the Kogi- born defender.

“He can’t go back to Nigeria at the moment. We want to have him at Udinese under our developmental training programme,” was the message Udinese sent to Mavlon FC, as revealed to www.totorinews.com
