RCD Espanol has ended Kenneth Omeruo’s Leganes 9 –  match unbeaten run in all competitions in Spain courtesy of a 9th minute goal scored by Borja Ignesias in the 1-0 loss to Espanol in a La Liga game played on Friday evening, totorinews.com reports.

Omeruo, the no- nonsense Super Eagles defender played full 90minutes in the game and he did a good job to intercept and thwarted some dangerous attacking forays of the Espanol attackers. Unfortunately, he got a yellow card in the 72nd minute of the game.

To make matter worse for Leganes, Gerard Gumbar was given a red card in the 90th by the Referee, Jose Luis Gonzapez before he signalled the end of the pulsating encounter at RCDE stadium in the city of Barcelona, Spain.

Leganes is on the 16th position on the log with 19 points from 18 games and their next game is at home against bottom placed Huesca on Saturday, 12th January, 2019.
