Super Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi made history for his new club, Nottingham Forest as he scored the club’s first goal in the England Premier League after 23 years, www.totorinews.com reports.
Destiny smiled on Awoniyi when he profitted from a goal mouth melee as West Ham defender failed to clear the ball out of danger, only for the ball to hit Awoniyi on his knee and it went into the net to make it advantage 1-0 going into the break.
West Ham asked all the questions in the second half but were unfortunate to even lost a penalty that would have levelled scores.
Awoniyi was then substituted in the 72nd minute of the game.
