As football loving Nigerians look forward to the AFCON U-17 tournament in Algeria after the draw for the tournament was made this Wednesday where Nigeria will play Morocco, South Africa and Zambia in Group B, Nduka Ugbade has assured Nigerians that the team will succeed, reports www.totorinews.com

Ugbade, the head coach of the team while reacting to the draw said that the die is cast and the team will be prepared to be very formidable against any foe in Algeria beginning with the games in the city of Constantine, where the Golden Eaglets have been scheduled to play.

“The die has been cast and there is no going back. Morocco is a team that is known from North Africa and the North Africa football is known to me very well and considering what they have done in the World Cup  that we all in Africa are proud of, so i think their U17 will be clearly motivated to do this as well and then in recent time they’ve been playing some friendly matches as well in preparation for this competition,” Nduka Ugbade said.

Then the issue of South Africa football that has gone has suddenly exploded into a very beautiful football nation, that one to is something that is supposed to get us to be worried a bit. Zambia that we’ve always known for good footballing and then this three nations are from the high altitude and so they will have enough strength and speed, enough endurance as well and power to compete but knowing that we have won the World Cup five times and we are the favourite for the competition as a whole.

“We will approach every game with the seriousness it deserves, which is to win every game. That is the mentality of the team.

“We have fears but not that type that will cripple us. It is that, that will create an unbelievable performance when we have the opportunity to face any of the teams in the competition,” he said.
