Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, Chairman of Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has charged Nigerian coaches to beam their searchlight in the discovery of more football talents in the country , www.totorinews.com reports.
Fresh disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja on the occasion of the election of Nigeria Coaches Association when the body re-elected Ladan Bosso as the President to lead them for another term in office and other coaches into various executive positions to champion the affairs of coaches in Nigeria, where he said that the smooth election organised by the coaches demonstrated strong unity among the coaches in chatting the way forward for football in the country.
“This event signifies unity among the coaches at all levels without leaving anyone behind. Everyone has a sense of belonging and it is good for the football tacticians.” Fresh said.
He continued : “I thereby urge the executives of this noble association to run a democratic system, open to all members and draw road maps that would enable the hidden talents in Nigeria football be discovered.”
Speaking further, the chairman of Niger State Football Association informed that NFF will soon render financial assistance to the body to help the coaches to under go more courses to improve their knowledge of the round leather game.
“NFF is working towards giving financial assistance to the body, which would come in form of grant to ease off the financial burden of the association, knowing fully well that the coaches are part of NFF as an affiliate.
“The President of NFF has promised to upgrade the knowledge of Nigeria coaches at all levels in the area of capacity building, having done it in the past,” he said.
