It is a season of signing football deals and Super Eagles Suppporters Club (SESC), are not left out, as the dynamic football supporters outfit have signed a deal with Prince Ted Nwoko Foundation (PNNF) to tackle the menace of malaria in Africa, reports www.totorinews.com.
Malaria has been notoriously associated with millions of deaths in Nigeria and Africa and the goal is to ensure that the disease is completely tackled to the extent that death linking to malaria is eradicated or reduced drastically in the continent.

Football with its global appeal and mileage is a veritable tool to use and this is where SESC comes in as an organisation that can help create more publicity to fight the deadly fever. The partnership between SESC and PNNF is therefore a welcome development for the good of humanity.
Speaking at a world media press conference in Garoua, Cameroon few hours to the last group game between Nigeria and Guinea Bissau, Prince Vincent Okumagba, the president of SESC worldwide said a milestone achievement has been gained in the fight against one of the deadliest diseases troubling the continent of Africa.
“Today I am proud to announce to you, another pacesetting achievement of Super Eagles Supporters Club. We have sealed a partnership agreement with the Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation to fight and defeat Malaria in Africa just as we lead the Super Eagles to triumph over their opponents everywhere in the world”, Okumagba told the media.

He noted that SESC as a supporters outfit have redefined and creatively given positive narratives in the football arena of supporting the Super Eagles wherever they play and it was no wonder that FIFA, the world football governing body recognised the organisation by making him the number one football fan in Nigeria.
“Just a couple of months back, I was chosen by FIFA as the number one fan in Nigeria and I was taken to Qatar on an all expense paid trip at the Arab Cup.
“We are the first to organize a supporters club night which we did at Sheraton hotels in Nigeria last year and we are having another one this year. One of our supporters club member, Iyabo won the best dressed fan award after a Nigeria game against Egypt in the ongoing AFCON.

“What the Ned Nwoko Foundation is demanding from us is that as a supporters group, we must back them up, we must collaborate with them in spreading the message on Malaria eradication in Africa to the whole world, starting with this AFCON.
“We will be visible with messages against malaria during the World Cup qualifiers and to the world cup proper coming up in Qatar this year.
“Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation approached us and you can see from what we are wearing ( Malaria Eradication in Africa) that we have already hit the ground running because they supported us on this trip to the AFCON and that is why we are here in Cameroun to spread the gospel and continue in the massive fight against this fatal disease.
“Football can push lots of positive narratives and that is what SESC have been doing over the years. We are going to do much more just as we are united by sports, through our appearance, music, modeling and much more to bring to fore, the advocacy for malaria prevention and total eradication in Africa.

“SESC is open to partner with other noble organisations in Nigeria. AITEO is happy with our partnership and we are still working to finalise other partnership deals with more multinational organisations very soon,” he said.
