Two goals scored in the first half by the Black Starlets of Ghana sealed the final spot as the expense of Golden Eaglets of Nigeria in the second semi- final game of the WAFU B U17 tournament in Yamoussoukro.
It was a very interesting opening minutes of the game, with both teams creating goals scoring opportunities, but it was Ghana that went ahead when Michael Awuli scored in the 23rd minute.
Golden Eaglets were yet to recover from the shock when Ghana increased their advantage courtsey of a low drive by Robinho Yao Gavi at the edge of the box, that went straight into the net eight minutes later.
It was not an evening to remember for the young Nigeria players, after all their efforts to claw themselves back into the game proved abortive in the second half.
