The management of NPFL has taken another giant strides with the unveiling of Prostar Evolution Match Day Balls to all the 20 clubs in the elite eague in Nigeria.
This was disclosed by Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, NPFL Chairman, at the unveiling event of 400 Prostar Evolution balls on Monday at the NPFL Corporate headquarters in Abuja, where Elegbeleye emphasized on the league’s commitment to the growth of NPFL, with the aim of making it among the best on African continent.
According to Elegbeleye, the 20 NPFL clubs will receive 20 match balls at the moment and there are plans to give more of these ball before the end of the season. These match balls have the signature of Prostar Sports International and produced with high quality in line with world class football standard as prescribed by FIFA and CAF, the ball can be used under different weather conditions.
“In a deliberate effort to standardize the league, the NPFL management is unveiling the Prostar Evolution match balls, which will be given to the 20 clubs. This will enable them to train with the balls ahead of the start of the second stanza,” he said.
Elegbeleye also praised GTI for their investment in the NPFL as a strategic partner and sponsor, also for playing a vital role in deployment of these quality match balls.
…Branded Ball For Match Days
Still on the match day balls, Mr. Nelson Nneh, a representative of GTI, said there is a need to have a uniform and branded balls for match days in the NPFL.
“GTI is doing everything to make sure the league gets to where it ought to be.
This is one of the reasons we deemed it fit to get Prostar Evolution balls for all 20 clubs. The ball is FIFA and CAF standard and playable under any weather conditions,” Nneh said.
