NITDA DG Pledges Support for CAC’s AI-Driven Transformation at 35th Anniversary

The Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Abdullahi delivered a goodwill message at the Corporate Affairs Commission’s (CAC) 35th anniversary celebration in Abuja, where he commended the Commission for its consistent growth and resilience over the years.

He noted that while many organisations experience periods of decline after success, CAC has continued to grow and perform, describing its trajectory as one that continues to “thrive, thrive, and thrive.”

He recalled his early engagement with the CAC, highlighting that the Registrar General made organisational transformation a priority from the onset of his leadership.

The NITDA boss stressed that meaningful progress in today’s digital era requires the integration of artificial intelligence, and he praised the Registrar General’s vision and determination to embed AI across CAC’s operations.

Assuring the Commission of NITDA’s full support, Kashifu stated that the agency would work closely with CAC to integrate AI into its numerous processes, adding that AI would bring intelligence into workflows, simplify company registration and business management for Nigerians, and strengthen cybersecurity against hacking and fraud.

He explained that equipping CAC staff with advanced AI tools would help the Commission stay ahead of fraudsters, while NITDA would ensure the deployment of ethical and responsible AI systems.
