
The President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has been conferred with Blueprint’s Football Infrastructure Icon of the Year Award at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre on Tuesday afternoon, reports www.totorinews.com.
This was done in recognition of his giant strides in the development of the beautiful game through the judicious use of FIFA forward 3.0 fund in infrastructural development as evident with the on- going NFF hostel and training pitches at the Package B of the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja.

The award which was presented by the Emir of Bida and Etsu Nupe, His Royal Highness Brigadier General Yahaya Abubakar (Rtd), CFR who was represented by Royal father of the Day Etsu Nupe/Andoma of Doma, Alhaji Aliyu Ogo-Onawo, signified a major milestone for Gusau as a noble football administrator and leader.
Speaking after the Award, Gusau said, “I am deeply honoured and grateful to Blueprint Newspapers for this recognition”.
‘’This Award is not just an honour, it is a renewed call to service and a reminder of the responsibility we carry to build a stronger, more successful and more sustainable future for Nigerian football.
“I remain fully committed to the growth of football in Nigeria-from strengthening our grassroots and youth development programmes to creating greater opportunities for our players, coaches, administrators and other stakeholders.
“Our football has immense talent and potential, and we must continue to build systems that allow potential to flourish on the national and international stage.

The grand ceremony had many Nigerian political gladiators from all over the country, including the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), serving and former governors, royal fathers, corporate Nigeria, media icons and other distinguisged guests from different sectors.
