My injury is not serious was the candid response of Charles Agada, Flying Eagles striker in a chat with www.totorinews.com on Sunday.
According to the former Golden Eaglets striker, the friendly game against Legacy football academy was very physical, their defenders were very brutal with their tackles and he felt pain when he injured thereby making him unable to continue the fierce game.
“The team we played on Saturday had a different mindset against us. Their defenders were more like butchers on the field,” Agada said in an exclusive chat with www.totorinews.com.
“I felt bad when i was injured. I could not put the leg down. I limped out of the game and I was attended to medically.
“But after receiving treatment, I feel better now. I could walk freely. The injury is not serious, though, I will not be training for some days to allow it heal very well and recover fully,” he said.
Flying Eagles are preparing for WAFU B U20 championship in Lome, Togo, where Nigeria is in Group B with Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso.
The championship begins on October 17.
