Wisdom Ubani, the top striker of the Golden Eaglets has promised to improve his goals scoring skills ahead of the FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Brazil later in the year.
Having scored just three goals at the just concluded Africa U17 tournament on Tanzania where the Golden Eaglets came fourth and only got qualification to the FIFA U 17 World Cup as a consolation, Ubani said he feels so bad losing opportunities to score goals for the Eaglets in match situations when he hardly misses such opportunities in training sessions.
“I feel so bad whenever I lose goals scoring opportunities for the team, knowing that I scored them easily in training sessions. I always ask myself. Is it me that is losing these chances. What is happening to me and when I look at my teammates, they don’t look happy. “Ubani told totorinews.com
“I will dedicate most of my time as we leave camp to train very well and improve my game as a striker,” he added.
He added further : “The team is very good. We have good players in the Golden Eaglets and I hope we will keep on praying and working hard to make the team improve very well at the World Cup and win the trophy.
