Football revolution in the discovering, nurturing, development and management of young talented players is currently going on in Gombe State, North East, Nigeria since the emergence of Mailantarki Care Football Club, reports www.totorinews.com.
Mailantarki Care FC with their sister team, Mailantarki Care Academy are changing football narratives in Nigeria, especially Northern part of the country with their genuine and sincere management of young talented footballers.
The football outfit is changing the fortunes of young footballers from the North as revealed in the exclusive interview www.totorinews.com had with Hon. Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, the president and founder of both Mailantarki Care FC and the academy.
The soft spoken leader and politician, with deep interest for football, said that it is a thing of joy that Mailantarki Care FC has moved more than 15 players to Europe and seven players had already signed for some clubs in Europe, all of these, happened within one year of existence.
“Just within one year of existence, we have been able to produce good players that will become future football stars. I can categorically tell that we have moved more than 15 players to clubs in Europe,” Hon. Mailantarki told www.totorinews.com in Abuja.
“Knowing the tasks ahead, I sought for the services of Manu Garba, the world renowned football coach all over the world, who have eyes to spot talents and develop them. So, we made Manu Garba, who happened to be my brother from the same state, Gombe, as the Technical Director of Mailantarki Care FC.
“We engaged in lots of research to know what we can do differently to produce the desired results we want to achieve. We know lots of clubs and academies that have been in existence without achieving any meaningful things.
The amiable personality, who is also the NNPP gubernatorial candidate in Gombe State furthered revealed that his management deployed a unique strategy that will make European clubs to sign their players once proved to meet the standard.
“The strategy we deployed is that we identified or discovered young talented footballers, we take them to Europe on the invitations of the clubs there. Clubs in Portugal, Denmark and Sweden.
“We take the players to these clubs in Europe to train at their academies in form of football trials for these clubs and their officials to see the potentials of our players with the possibility of signing contracts with them.
“That is the agreement we made with these European clubs. Some of these clubs were very skeptical, but we assured them that if they can accommodate these players for six months, they will be in better position to sign them or not.
“We also informed them that we will be responsible for the total cost of the players in the six months they will be staying in the aspects of accommodation, feeding and their insurance as they train with these clubs for six months.
“So, Mailantarki Care FC was still responsible for their expenses in Europe and we are very fortunate that our efforts have started yielding fruits as seven of our players have signed professional contracts with these European clubs.
“These European clubs having seen their potentials and abilities on the football pitch, while training at their facilities under their coaches, had no option than to offer them professional contracts.
“This is the beginning of great things for Mailantarki Care FC and we are grateful to God,” he concluded.
It is indeed the beginning of great things as Mailantarki Care FC dazzled and dismantled all oppositions to win both the 2022 Dana Cup and 2022 Norway Youth Cup.
