Highest rating in La Liga game excites Omeruo

Having done a yeoman’s job in the Defence of CD Leganes in the game against Sevilla that ended 1-1 on Sunday where he got 7.5 rating, Keneth Omeruo has said that he is very excited with the rating and performance for Leganes, totorinews.com reports.

Omeruo, dependable Super Eagles defender has been in terrific form for Leganes since joining the team on loan from Chelsea at the beginning of the season and his performance for the La Liga outfit on Sunday was excellent as the team presently enjoys nine games unbeaten run in Spain.

“It is very exciting to me to hear that i scored 7.5 in the rating after the game against Sevilla. It was a very difficult game and we played to win, we fought very hard throughout, but unfortunately, Sevilla got their equaliser in the 90th minute.” Omeruo said.

“I am glad that Leganes is unbeaten in nine games in Spain and this is very good for the team. We will keep on fighting and working hard for the team as we hope to finish the season at a very respectable position on the league table,” he added.

La Liga is on Christmas break and hostilities will resume for Omeruo and his teammates in Leganes when they play Espanol at away on Friday 4th January, 2019.
